It is with sadness that we learnt of the death of the Casino Royale theme "You Know my Name" singer Chris Cornell, aged 52, on Thursday afternoon AEST. The former lead singer of Soundgarden and Audio-sound recorded one of, if not the most played Bond songs of all time.
Tributes across the James Bond world have been flowing across Social media, fans have been left shocked at the news. The talented artists Bond song will forever remain an absolute favourite of many Bond fans across Australia and the globe.
Cornell's theme tune, co-wrote by Bond composer David Arnold, was a smash hit and suited the new era of Bond in 2006's Casino Royale. It is said that Cornell was a huge fan of Sean Connery as James Bond. Cornell had said that he was influenced heavily by other brilliant Bond themes "Thunderball" and "Live and Let Die".
